Pretty much the whole of the UK is enjoying a prolonged period of hot weather at the moment, with temperatures consistently in the mid to high-20s. I can’t remember the last time we had such a long spell of good weather, but it feels great! Although it isn’t hugely helpful for fishing, I’ve got out and about a bit, including a couple of days afloat for cod, ling and bass.
This weekend is the CLA Game Fair, the social high point of the UK countryside and outdoor pursuit calendar. I’m going to be up there, hanging around on the Fly Odyssey stand, as well as having a good look around the show in general. There is always plenty of things to see, including lots of new tackle, incredible artwork, demonstrations and top notch food and drink. So don’t miss it!
